I’ve spent years working with clients to solve their musical problems. This has included rearranging glam-rock songs for string orchestra, adapting video game music to interactive live ensembles, reducing orchestral works to fit smaller groups, and more. Orchestral Reductions

Much of history’s most beautiful music was composed for the orchestra. However, a full size orchestra is usually beyond the budget or even just the physical space of most events.

I can provide rearrangements of orchestral works to sound incredible played by an ensemble thats size fits the scope of your project.

Reimagining Genres

Much of my arrangement work has been to re-interpret songs for a radically different style or ensemble. Previous works have included rearranging Beatles songs for string orchestra, ABBA for small jazz combo, and writing parts for live instruments to play along to pre-existing backing tracks.

Innovative Adaptations

My Mario Kart Live project adapted the music from the popular 2008 video game Mario Kart Wii to a live interactive musical performance.

The game was setup for guests to play on the big screen, while the band played music that would change depending on what was happening in game.

This involved arranging the game’s soundtrack (which was originally written for virtual instruments and synthesisers) for an eight piece jazz ensemble, and creating a system that musicians could follow to react to the gameplay in real time.

Mario Kart Live was hugely successful, going viral online several times and selling out venues across Australia. The band was even invited for interview on national television.

As far as I’m aware, this was the first time anyone had created an event quite like this and since I launched the project in 2022, numerous bands have launched their own versions overseas, including in London, Paris and New York.
